=80=80=80 A note about Macline happenings =80=80=80

hey friends...  sup y'all....


As most of you know, about half a year ago I started a Hotline =
server.  Everybody was really cool... hotline was totally hip!  This =
new software that nobody knew about... and we were making a frontier =
(not to say we arn't still).  I got to know a lot of cool people... =
and people hung out here, had fun.  Stuff was really relaxed.  People =
started uploading.  Cheesy, who started this thing with me, started =
getting into Hotline and trying to get it going as a company.  =
Together we brought in some new admins, and Macline started turning =
into an online service.  Of all the Hotline sites, we were pretty =
much the most visated and the most "24/7".  It felt pretty cool.  =
People were still really cool and stuff was going well.

Soon after this a few major things happened really fast.  Hotline =
Software was established (and Cheesy started doing a lot of work =
there.... and a few of those Hotline folk turned into serious type =
folk).... new Hotline betas were coming out faster than Teenie Beanie =
Babies... Macline's files base was growing exponetially,  Macline's =
user base likewise, talk to Macline moving because we were/are taking =
up too much bandwidth.

I was starting to spend a whole lot of time here.  Things were =
starting to get more serious and we started making more rules.  The =
more chaotic things got, the more rules we made.  We tried to keep =
this site clean, and tried to keep the chat a nice atmosphere.  =
Through all this we also made a lot of mistakes.  None of the admins =
here are over 21, we are all young, and we make mistakes.  We use the =
best of our knowledge to do the best we can.

We always tried to listen to you guys and adapt to your requests.  We =
made it so guests had the ability to upload.  We made the chat area =
completelly unristricted.  We made accounts for people so they had =
they wouldn't have to "click agree".

People also began to rebel against us.  Something we were doing =
wrong, somebody they didn't like.  I personally sat down and talked =
to a bunch of the people.

basically what I'm saying is that this site is turning into something =
that people expect..... less and less of a fun place to hang out.  =
It's more of a service than a hang out.

personally we can't stop the spammers.  They come in and they spam.

people complain that there are too many rules... yet you say you want =
more admins to be here to monitor the chat


well... we are getting some chat admins so we can try to be here 24/7

I'm really sad that you guys hate this place.  it's my site.. I love =
it with all my heart and I hate to see it go.

it may be going down this summer... but I don't know yet.  

well...   it's as much your guyzes site as it is mine.
you can email me personally (zini@macline.net) anytime with =
suggestions and stuff.  The more people use Hotline.. the more people =
come here to spam.

for some reason people think that we are this site that is trying to =
be all official and government like... and think we suck.

we are really not..... and I don't want to turn into it.

I just want this place to be fun for people..... I never expected it =
to be as big as this.  The site is in all your hands..... don't fuck =
it up.


If we are going down in the summer... let's make these last few weeks =
a blast.

Don't be lame.. don't spam.  Contribute.. upload....download.. chat.

we are going to try to get some cool people in here to chat.  I'm =
going to try and do other cool stuff..... probably more contests... =
and some more secrets we have planned (that I don't want to talk =
about or all the other people will go do it on other sites).
