Configuring Open Transport PPP

Open the PPP Control Panel.

Check the "Registered User" radio button.

Click in the "Name" box:

Enter your MacConnect password in the "Password" box

Enter your preferred Mia.Net access number in the "Number" box

Click the OPTIONS button at the bottom of the Window

Click the tab labeled "Redialing"

Select the option that best suits you.

Click the tab labeled "Connection"

Check the box labeled "Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications"

Click the "Protocol" tab

Check the "Allow error correction..." and "Use TCP header compression" checkboxes.

Leave "Connect to a command line host" UNCHECKED

Click the OK button to finish your configuration.

Choose MODEM from the PPP pull down menu at the top of your screen.

Choose the correct port, modem, sound and dialing settings for your particular system.

Close the Modem window. You are now ready to connect to the Internet using OT/PPP.
