Open the application FreePPP setup.
In the lower left of the window is a small triangle. Click on this to expand the window.
Click on Modem Set-up in the bottom left. Then at the bottom make sure
Use Init String from Account Configuration is checked instead of Auto-Detect. Now click OK.
Now, click on the tab labeled ACCOUNTS. Highlight UNTITLED in the Accounts window.
Click EDIT.
Server name: Mia.Net
Phone Number: your local number
Next 2 boxes are unchecked.
Connect: DIRECTLY
Username: your username
Password: your password <---case sensitive!
Click the CONNECTION tab.
Port speed: 115200 on newer Macs, 57600 on older
Flow control: CTS & RTS (DTR)**If you are using a Global Village external modem, use CTS only**
